Our skin is the first barrier between the inside and outside of our body against harmful or potentially toxic elements such as heavy metals. In fact, under certain circumstances, especially iron, lead, and zinc, accumulating in the derma can trigger a series of reactive chains that produce free radicals.
In these cases, Kelapher Lactoferrin can fully exert its chelating activity against the metal ions through its embedding into liposomes (Lipid Technology), for the treatment of all troficdyschromic alterations of the dermal-epidermal tissue (European patent).
Liposomes are nothing but lipid particles with a structure similar to that of cell membranes. The advantage of this technology is not only to obtain an increased bioavailability, but also enhance the protection against Lactoferrin denaturation.
