Darou Pakhsh was first established in 1956 as "Darou Pakhsh Charity Company" in Tehran and a few decades later it was declared governmental and became a part of the Social Security Organization of Iran in 1993.
Although it was a pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution company for many decades, in 1997 its manufacturing sites were dissolved and Darou Pakhsh turned into an investment company.
Currently, it is the largest pharmaceutical investment and distribution company in Iran ranking 50th in terms of sales and production.
