A group of professionals largely pharmacists with Pharmacoeconomics and clinical experiences constitute this department who not only evaluate the market needs but also put together their efforts to analyze the feasibility of the current and future business plans of the company.
This department handles the company’s business strategy, establishes long-lasting partnerships with local and international pharmaceutical firms, and evaluates the quality of these collaborations.
Experts in this department regularly evaluate the local pharmaceutical needs and plan accordingly to win the tenders from the Ministry of Health for the supply of emergency medical needs. Apart from this, the main interests of the BD department based on the long and short-term business strategies of Nikan, are the development of business plans for niche products, biopharmaceuticals, emergency as well as prescription-based medicines.
The BD team regularly takes part in various medical seminars, conferences, and congresses to meet with distinguished healthcare professionals mainly specialist physicians to seek their opinions on the type of products (medicines and/or medical devices) they require to treat their patients and we make sure to assist them in the best way possible.
Also, our experts regularly monitor the pharmaceutical import and local manufacturing report which is published annually by the IFDA to better understand our market position and implement business strategies to enhance our position.
